The Women's
Empowerment Institute
of Cameroon
The Women's Empowerment Institute Cameroon
(WEICAM) is an organization that promotes human rights
and the democratic process in Cameroon.

WEICAM works especially with organized women groups,
using these local mechanisms to put more women in
leadership and decision-making positions.

To achieve these goals, WEICAM has several programs that
enable women to build a strong positive self image, develop
their potential, be included in leadership roles, and engage in
activities that will raise their living standards.
What's New -- December 2009
In the meantime, check out WEICAM's Annual Report
for 2008 to get an idea of what we have planned for
2009 and beyond.
WEICAM has been very busy continuing our civil
marriage program, and the website is now updated
with information and pictures from our ceremonies in
Tatum and Jakiri that took place in June.

We will be updating the site soon with information on
new programs and what you can do to get involved.
Right now, we are looking for a volunteer to help with
our cooperative project, so please email us if you are
interested.
